What will you learn?
We start with props used within a Yoga practice and foundation poses such as childs pose, downward facing dog. Breathing techniques that can be used within your practice as well as in daily life for relaxation, to aid sleep and reduce stress. Standing poses, seated pose, backbends and forward folds and poses for the hips. You'll also be guided through a movement meditation sequence and sun salutation A & B.
You can then continue your Yoga practice feeling confident in your practice with how to move and place your body in different Yoga postures. This could be continued at home, at a studio or on a retreat. Once you have started a Yoga practice the opportunities are endless.
Your Instructor
Rachael is a lover of Yoga and believes it should be accessible for everybody.
Having started her Yoga practice at the age of 15 she can see how it helped keep her calm and focused during school exams and during her college years.
At 24 she signed up for her first Yoga Teacher Training while studying Holistic Therapies but it wasn't until 2012 (5 years later) that she started teaching.
Rachael has since opened her own studio (July 2014), trained to specialise in Yoga for Pregnancy and taught courses and classes specifically aimed at beginners.
Now taking these online so the courses are available for you wherever you are and when you are ready to practice.
